Marlborough – Employees of Marlborough Savings Bank recently raised $850 for the Marlborough Police Department’s K-9 team of Officer Kenneth McKenzie and his partner, “Kaiser.”

The K-9 team will be participating in tactical training that will be hosted by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in Cairo, N.Y. The funds from the donation will go towards the cost of the course, food, travel, and board.

“The recent gracious donation of $850 from the Marlborough Savings Bank will allow Officer Kenneth McKenzie and K-9 Kaiser to attend an upcoming Police K-9 Street Tactics seminar,” Police Chief Mark Leonard said. “Officer McKenzie and Kaiser are constantly training together, and seminars such as this one allow them to become more proficient and effective by introducing new techniques and reinforcing skills already learned.

“Marlborough Savings Bank has always been a great community partner with the Marlborough Police Department, and we are grateful for their continued support,” he added.
