Obit Michelena RosielloShrewsbury – Michelena M. (Esposito) Rosiello, of Shrewsbury, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 after an illness. She was 92.

She was born Oct. 9, 1922 in Shrewsbury to Italian immigrants Matteo and Lena (Notarangelo) Esposito. Raised and educated in Shrewsbury, she married Raymond Rosiello. Raymond was a well-respected builder in Shrewsbury and Michelena stayed at home to raise their three children.

She will be remembered as a generous woman and a talented cook whose life was centered around her family.

In heaven, Michelena rejoins her husband, Raymond, who died 1995; their children, Raymond J. Rosiello Jr., who died in 1990, and Rosemarie Rosiello, who died in 2004; her siblings, John, Domenic, Frank and Michael Esposito, Matteo “Chic” Esposito Jr., Josephine Ferrantino, and Rae Manna; and in-laws Joseph, John and Tony Rosiello and Mary Wall.

She leaves her son, Gary A. Rosiello and his girlfriend Judy Stevens of Shrewsbury and their late chocolate lab, Kayman; her sister, Mary Ciccarelli of Worcester; and her in-laws, Emilio and Marjorie Rosiello, Alfred and Norma Rosiello, and Nina Rosiello, all of Shrewsbury, and is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Privately and at Michelena’s request, her family will gather to honor and remember her life at Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Rd., On the Common, Shrewsbury Center Tuesday, Sept. 29, with a calling hour from 10-11 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
