Region – RTN Federal Credit Union presented a check for $25,000 to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless Sept. 21. The funds are proceeds raised from Walk Home 2015 in June.

“We are grateful to RTN for going above and beyond each year in forwarding our mission to eradicate homelessness from the commonwealth,” said Coalition Executive Director Robyn Frost. “RTN’s generosity and continued support help us to help homeless teens, individuals and families each year through our prevention, direct services, and legislative advocacy efforts.”

Walk Home, the credit union’s signature fundraising event, brings together RTN members and staff, along with community residents, local and state dignitaries and politicians, and business sponsors. Walks are held in Danvers, Dorchester and Waltham – three communities RTN serves.

“We are honored to partner with the coalition and proudly contribute to its important work on behalf of the homeless,” said Nicole James, RTN senior vice president of retail services.

Walk Home 2016 will take place Sunday, June 12.
