Region – The Northborough affiliate of the International Hash House Harriers Running Club announced a $300.69 donation will be made to the Worcester County Food Bank on behalf of the sponsors and participants of the sixth annual Red Dress Run that was completed Sept. 26 in the Canal District of Worcester.

Nearly 70 female and male runners, each wearing a red dress, completed the 5K course.

Laura Ziton, one of the run’s original organizers, said: “Red Dress Run isn’t timed. We jog or walk at a comfortable pace, and big smiles on our faces while we get some exercise, some beer, and raise money for the Worcester County Food Pantry.”

“Dozens of people running around Worcester while wearing red dresses is quite a spectacle.” said Al Del Re, also one of the Red Dress Run’s organizers. “We often get people trying to flag us down and pose for pictures. This year we ran by a bride at her wedding reception and she begged us to stop and take pictures. It was hilarious for all involved.”

Race organizers plan to continue this annual event on Sept. 24, 2016. Additional information can be found at: www.NorthboroH3.com.
